BHAGAM BHAG an attempted "laugh riot" directed by Priyadarshan fails miserably and the final product is this silly comedy for us.
Akshay Kumar shines in this film. Govinda is given meagre chance to show his comic talent, it has screenplay by Neeraj Vora who pens out a typical threatrical comedy which at times irritates the viewer.
The story goes as follows. Paresh Rawal has a theatre group in India and he performs shows all over the country. Akshay and Govinda along with others are actors in the group.
Both are very naughty natured guys who never miss any chance to flirt with girls, even the girls in their group.
An organizer (Asrani), offer Paresh's group to to perform 30 shows in England. Definitely the group is very excited that they have to leave for England the next day. However the heroine (the gorgeous Tanushree) opts out due to Akshay's misbehavior.
The trio - Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar and Govinda
Here the director tries his old tested and tired formula again -- a comedy of errors, and you're left wondering whether he thinks that the audiences have short memories, since he has previously been successful in his
endeavours.
Immediately after the interval, the film loses steam then on, as an element of suspense is added to this
masale, making you wonder if the film is a comedy or a thriller.
A sucide, and then a murder, these three guys are
dragged in conspiracies leading to the Police and the
bad men hunting for them.
From here the story leads to its climax in which a major
conspiracy gets exposed and finally these three innocent
guys Paresh Rawal, Akshay and Govinda are set
free.
This film marks Govinda's comeback on the silver screen.
But he is overweight and looks worn out at times! He
simply plays second fiddle to Akshay Kumar, who steals
the show.
The film has been extensively shot in London which again is a waste of money where these 3 guys, the drug dealers and even the Police Commissioner of London (Jackie
Shroff) and innumerable other characters keep running on the streets of London with sticks.
The Brits would swear never to see any hindi movie again.
The real hero of the film is Akshay Kumar. He outshines everyone and has some of the best dialogues in the film. He is a treat to watch.

Lara Dutta the maiden
with
sucidial tendencies
On Govinda and Akshay's insistence, Rajpal
Yadav, a taxi driver in the UK tries to search a girl for their play... and it leads to many misunderstandings and a series of funny sequences.
In this process, Govinda and Akshay fall into trouble involving a drug baron and other mishaps.
Enter Lara
Dutta, a girl with suicidal tendencies, who bumps into Akshay one day. She replaces Tanushree in the play. Surprisingly, no one bothers to find out whether she can act, dance or sing.
This film marks Govinda's comeback on the silver screen. But he is
overweight and looks worn out at times! He simply plays second fiddle to Akshay Kumar, who steals the show.
