Awarapan
The
best thriller from Mukesh Bhatt camp
|
|
Starring: Emraan
Hashmi, Mrinalini Sharma, Shirya Saran, Ashish Vidyarthi
Producer: Vishesh Films (Mukesh Bhatt)
Director: Mohit Suri
Music: Pritam
Mukesh Bhatt presents yet another thriller drama
directed by Mohit Suri. Technically Awarapan is copy of
A BITTERSWEET LIFE (2005; Korean title: DALKOMHAN
INSAENG).
Awarapan tries to show the dilemma of a sensitive
heartbroken lover turned assassin. Shivam [Emraan] wants
to escape from the haunting memories of his tragic past
dedicates himself to serve his gangster boss Malik [Ashutosh
Rana], who runs a chain of hotels in Hong Kong. Like a
slave, he blindly follows his master’s orders. One of
his assignments was to keep an eye upon one of Malik’s
mistress and kill her if he finds the girl cheating upon
his boss.

|
She is a young Pakistani girl - Reema [Mrinalini Sharma]
who is a victim of human trafficking. However Emraan
himself falls for her, and then is torn between his love
and his docility. To make the matter overcomplicated
Emraan finds that the innocent Reema is actually not as
innocent as it seems. She is already in love with someone
else named - Rehan and was planning to leave Malik and run
away with the same guy. What will Shivam do now ?
Follow Malik’s order ?
Support Reema
and betray his master and bury love within his heart
again. |
|
The film has a gripping and thrilling storyline, it is
Emraan’s performance which makes one spellbound. The movie
has excellent cinematography, and technically superior
than any of the past Mukesh Bhat films.
Emraan Hashmi stives to put in a better performance and he
does succeed. Shriya, the South Indian actress has a
cameo, while Mrinalini Sharma appears fresh and promising.
Ashutosh Rana is absolutely splendid. Where was he for
long?
Pritam and a bunch of new singers give fresh, outstanding
songs and the music.
